JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The social worker is responsible for following up on the care of children placed in foster homes. The assignment involves regularly talking to the child, monitoring the child's development, and being attentive to the child's needs and granting support measures based on these.

In the role of the child's social worker, the focus is always on the child or young person. The mission is to ensure that placed children receive safe, secure, and high-quality care. Our ambition is to provide every child with the best possible conditions for positive development and good living conditions.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with the child's network and with internal and external partners, such as preschool, school, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), police, and other relevant actors.

In your daily work, you will receive support and guidance from a coordinator and an engaged team. Together with the coordinator and unit manager, the team also works on continuous method development to ensure safe and high-quality foster care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a social worker with experience in public authority work within the area of children and youth.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with domestic violence and are familiar with methods such as FREDA and PATRIARK
• Experience with the Lifecare system
• Training in Signs of Safety

You are confident and smooth in your interactions with others and enjoy collaborating both internally and externally. You actively contribute to a good work environment by both receiving and providing support to your colleagues. You understand that legal security for children and youth is a fundamental prerequisite for well-functioning foster care, and that respectful treatment and equal treatment are central values in the work.

You have an interest in method development and appreciate working in a group that strives for collective development with a focus on the citizen perspective.

Other requirements

• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills, preferably experience with Lifecare
• Driver's license B is a requirement
